Taith education trip to Malaysia

 

Detailed Description

Please provide full name as on your passport 

Students are required to pay £750 non refundable deposit by 25th January to be considered for the trip but the deposit will be refunded if the student is not offered a place on the trip.

 Places on the trip are limited and there are 20 places which will receive Taith funding through a selection process with students being interviewed by International Office, accompanied by academic references and evaluation of attendance, academic and practical performance, and engagement with studies.

 The Taith funding and deposit will cover costs for those who are selected for Taith funding however dependent on the group flight costs and the finalised excursions and itinerary students may be required to pay a final payment of £200 by 25th April.

 Trip Details

 Taith education trip to Malaysia taking place for 14 nights in Malaysia taking place between 12th May & 7th June 2026 open to student from Institute of Management and Health focusing on Travel, Tourism, Events, Hospitality, Business, Sport and Commonwealth Leadership.

 The trip includes educational experiences and visits to University of Malaya Wales in Kuala Lumpur and  Skyline KL & Singapore. 

 Additional academic excursions are likely to include in Kuala Lumpur the Batu Caves, Air Asia Head Quarters, Malacca UNESCO world heritage site, visits to Singapore including Raffles Hotel, Universal Resort, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa Island, Singapore Changi Airport, the newly opened train link from KL, Cameron Heights, Penang, Georgetown UNESCO World Heritage Site, Eastern Oriental Hotel and Kek Lok Si Temple.

 Additional excursions can be organised to link to students specific academic studies and students can also organise their own excursions in groups.

 There will be at least 2 free days during the trip for relaxation and for student led excursions. Students will however be responsible for paying for all optional / student led excursions including any travel involved.

Students will share hotel rooms on a bed & breakfast basis but will be required to pay for all other meals. 

Interviews to take place 26th-29th January.
